Reduction of the Heat Island Effect
The heat island effect is the increase in temperature created by built-up areas.  This site uses concrete paving where practical, and tree shading over asphalt paved surfaces to reduce the heat island effect.  Also, our roof tops utilize roofing materials that are either white or an engineered 'cool' green that retains less heat.
